SVP, ESG and Sustainability

At AVI-SPL, sustainability is a core mindset embedded across our operations, services, and partnerships. Our sustainability vision is simple yet powerful: to help our customers achieve their sustainability goals through thoughtful, impactful technology solutions and services.

Today, we’re proud to share the release of our 2024 ESG Impact Report, our most comprehensive look yet at how we’re advancing environmental, social, and governance (ESG) priorities as a global technology solutions provider.

From Foundation to Forward Momentum

This year’s report marks a turning point. In 2023, we laid the foundation—conducting our first materiality assessment, establishing ESG goals, and completing our initial carbon inventory. In 2024, we built on that momentum, transforming vision into measurable action. Highlights from this year’s progress include:

  • 17.4% reduction in fuel use per U.S. fleet vehicle, saving fuel cost and lowering Scope 1 emissions.
  • 16,244 pounds of electronic waste responsibly recycled, with 20 refurbished laptops donated to nonprofit partners in the U.S. and Peru.
  • Completion of our first two global Scope 3 carbon inventories, a critical step toward understanding our full emissions footprint and setting reduction targets.
  • Continued growth of our diversity and inclusion programs, with participation in Employee Resource Groups up 30% year-over-year, and representation of women in our workforce steadily increasing.

Through these and other efforts, we’ve strengthened our ability to help customers meet their own ESG targets—from low-carbon supply chains to responsible technology lifecycle management.

ESG at the Center of Our Value Chain

As a digital enablement partner to the world’s most forward-thinking enterprises, we know that technology plays a central role in achieving sustainability goals. That’s why we’re aligning our own strategy with the priorities of our customers:

  • Eco-Friendly Reference Designs that reduce embodied carbon and energy use in meeting room systems.
  • Expanded reporting capabilities to help track the carbon footprint of AV and UC solutions.
  • Streamlined e-waste management that simplifies responsible disposal and supports circular economy outcomes.

We view sustainability as a shared opportunity, and we’re committed to helping customers turn ESG goals into tangible results.

What’s Next: Deeper Integration, Broader Impact

Looking ahead, we’re accelerating efforts across key areas of our ESG roadmap:

  • Carbon reduction: We’ve set short-term targets to reduce Scope 1 and 2 GHG emission intensity by 10% by 2025 and are exploring Science Based Targets to guide our long-term climate strategy.
  • Green logistics: We’ll continue optimizing delivery routes and consolidating regional warehousing to lower emissions and improve service.
  • Supplier engagement: Our new Supplier Sustainability Matrix and updated Supplier Code of Conduct increase transparency across the technology supply chain, helping buyers choose products that reflect their values.
  • Rainforest conservation and biodiversity tracking: We’re sponsoring a UN-backed REDD+ project in Ecuador, supporting two major initiatives to prevent deforestation and fund fieldwork led by native experts—contributing to climate action and ecosystem resilience.

Whether you’re navigating reporting requirements, seeking lower-impact AV and UC systems, or building a more inclusive workplace, AVI-SPL is here to support your ambitions.

Together, we can blaze a trail to a more sustainable technology-rich future—with confidence, accountability, and purpose.
